The Child Masters Series was inspired by a collection of random childrens' drawings. A crayon drawing of a snowboarder (that happened to exactly replicate the figure in this image was the start of the series. I digitally replaced elements of masters' works with children's drawings, making them Child Masters. This image alters de Goya's original Execution of Maximilian, The Third of May, 1808 painted in 1814. The children's drawings of the main figure being executed and the linear houses in the background replace the original elements of the painting.
